madidi national park

Madidi National Park is one of Bolivia's 22 national protected areas. Founded in 1995, and following a landmark scientific expedition in 2017, Madidi is recognized as the most biodiverse region on the planet.

But that's not all

Madidi is also home to 496 fish species, including the golden dorado and many diverse species of piranhas, catfish, and more. Amphibians count up to 213 species, yet they remain the least studied, making it no surprise to encounter species that scientists have yet to discover.
